Woman to Woman Conference

November 3, 2018

Woman to Woman is a one day conference for women to spiritually recharge. Come and join us for our twentieth annual conference on November 3 from 8:00am to 3:30pm to be encouraged by our guest speaker, Dana James. Dana lives in Greenwood, Indiana with her husband, a retired pastor. In the five churches where they have served together, Dana's passion and heart is teaching women the Word of God so they can know Him more fully and glorify God with their lives. Registration for the conference is $25, which includes two mini sessions of your choice, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a concert of praise and worship. When registering, you will be asked to choose your top two mini sessions plus an alternative session, and every effort will be made for you to attend your first two choices.

Our friend Kezia Curry will be leading our concert of praise and worship once again. Kezia has been singing ever since she was a little girl. Her music is a fitting accent for the sweet seasoning needs of the soul. Being married to an Army Chaplain, Kezia has had many opportunities for ministering through music in several places around the world.

Mini Sessions

Helping Girls Navigate the Waters of Growing Up

Cinda Fleming

Girls today are bombarded from every side--from how to dress, who to be friends with, how to behave, or what size to be--and many girls are without guidance on how to navigate these challenges. We need to be prepared to help young ladies through the struggles they will face as they grow up. This session will provide ladies with tools on how to encourage, mentor, and help the next generation grow into healthy, happy young women who know they are perfect as God created them.

Foster Care: A (Church) Family Affair

Katie Krabill & Gina Tighe

There is a huge need for foster families but not every family can directly fill this need. Come and join two moms and hear why their families decided to become foster families. They will also share the joys and difficulties, the differences it has made in their families, and how the church family can come alongside and help support the foster families in their congregations.

Oh LORD, Hear Me!

Julie George

As the Psalmist cries out in Psalm 5,”Hear me when I pray”, we also can cry out to our God. Prayer is an amazing gift from our Lord to communicate with Him. Let’s take a deeper look at prayer from God’s word. Psalm 3:3-4 NLT “But you O Lord are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord and He answered me from His Holy mountain.”

Keeping Bible Reading Fresh

Pat Warren

We all know we should read our Bible. We all want our Bible reading to be interesting. Beyond that, we think our time in the Scriptures ought to be meaningful. And in the end, we believe our Bible reading should be helpful. But… is your Bible reading Interesting? Meaningful? Helpful? This session should provide practical ways to get the most from our Bible reading, so that we can be prepared to have an answer "for everyone who asks us the reason for the hope that we have" in Christ. 1 Peter 3:15

Messy Grace: Dealing with Tough Relationships

Brandie Roberts

Ever wonder how to cope with really difficult and unavoidable relationships in your life? Sometimes it's not really knowing what to do or what to say; it's asking the Lord to give you the wisdom and grace to handle these relationships in His way and in His time. This session focuses on these wearisome relationships and how to seek the Lord through it all. Session is based on lessons learned from the book Messy Grace and life experiences that I have had.
